BIRTHDAY TEST FOR LARINI
Chevrolet driver Nicola Larini celebrated his 44th birthday
on Wednesday while testing his racing car at the Guadix racetrack
in Spain.
Larini and the Chevrolet RML team spent two days at the Spanish
circuit with the aim to establish better chassis performance,
tune other car areas, put mileage on new parts and do some
evaluation work on prototype parts.
Larini commented: "We had two full working
days. Weather conditions were excellent and the Guadix circuit
is very interesting, so it was a very useful test. We have
worked mainly on the set-up, trying a number of little adjustments,
some were new, and others we had already tried. It has been
a lot of fine-tuning."
The car used was the designated 2008-spec test car, as the
actual race cars are currently enroute to Mexico via sea freight
containers.
BMW Team UK/RBM also took part in the test with reigning world
champion Andy Priaulx.
