Jörg Müller of BMW Team Germany led a 1-2-3 finish for BMW. Müller took command from pole position and led the whole distance. Andy Priaulx and Augusto Farfus completed an all BMW podium.

The first test session of the season took place at Curitiba, home track of Augusto Farfus who headed the field with a time of 1:25.895 followed by his team-mate Jörg Müller and Tom Coronel.
