FIVE TEAMS TEST IN VALENCIA
The first WTCC collecitve test of the year will take place
in Valencia next week, on Monday and Tuesday. Five teams representing
three manufacturers – BMW, Chevrolet and SEAT –
will take part in the test.
Reigning World Champion Andy Priaulx and the RBM-BMW Team
UK will lead a BMW five-car-patrol that will also include
Schnitzer-BMW Team Germany (two cars for Jörg Müller
and new boy Augusto Farfus) and ROAL-BMW Team Italy-Spain
(one car to be driven by Alessandro Zanardi on Monday and
Félix Porteiro on Tuesday). SEAT Sport and RML-Chevrolet
will also join with two machines each. At the Spanish team
four drivers will take turns at the wheel of the León
cars: Gabriele Tarquini, Yvan Muller, Jordi Gené and
Michel Jourdain from Mexico, while Nicola Larini and Alain
Menu will drive the Chevrolet Lacetti cars.
WTCC RACES LIVE ON EUROSPORT
Pan European Sports channel Eurosport unveiled their plans
for a massive coverage of the 2007 FIA World Touring Car Championship.
Each of the 22 rounds of the season will benefit from a one-hour
live broadcast, according to the following schedule (times
are CET):

The coverage of each race will start with the highlights
of the previous round, a presentation of the top-ten drivers
on the grid and short, dynamic features to offer the viewers
all they have to know about the key points of the races. At
the end of each race the podium ceremony and the flash interviews
with the top three drivers classified will also be aired.
34 HOURS OF INTERNATIONAL LIVE FEED
As the host broadcaster of the FIA World Touring Car Championship,
Eurosport is also in charge of distributing via satellite
the international live feed to the different broadcasters
worldwide.
The Eurosport production crew at the events will be formed
of 60 people, who will have at their disposal 18 track cameras,
2 RF cameras, 10 digital onboard cameras, 3 EVS systems, super
slow motions, graphic animations and telemetry.
At each event the international live feed will offer: Saturday
3.00 pm local time qualifying session (30 minutes) 4.00 pm
local time news access, qualifying (4 minutes) Sunday 11.45
am local time Race 1 (60 minutes) 3.15 pm local time Race
2 (60 minutes) 5.00 pm local time news access, races (4 minutes)
9.00 pm local time WTCC Magazine (26 minutes)
More than three hours of live feed will be distributed from
each event, for a total of 34 hours throughout the season.
