ENERGY NEEDED FOR A FORMULA 1 TEST DRIVE
Battery Energy Drink, the official partner of the AT&T
Williams Team, is offering an exciting opportunity to experience
the inner workings of Formula One at first hand, from the
garage right through to the cockpit. By participating in the
new competition, eight lucky winners plus one skilled on-line
game player can be a part of a compelling Formula One experience
week in Europe. During the five days in September, the promotion’s
winners will get to closely follow the AT&T Williams team
testing in Spain, but the real thrill will come when the winners
will drive a Formula One car in Magny Cours in France at the
end of their unique high speed week. Next September, nine
people will get the chance to experience the inner workings
of Formula One for nearly a week. Prizewinners will first
travel to Jerez in Spain to follow the AT&T Williams team
during an official test testing in preparation for the final
races of the 2008 season. The winners’ journey then
continues to France later in the week where they will drive
the Battery Formula One car. The prize will be unique and
the promotion is open to all, not just those with motorsport
experience.
Nico Rosberg, one of the AT&T Williams team drivers said,
”This opportunity is meant for everybody who is fascinated
by speed and extreme experiences. I would like to encourage
everyone to participate and believe in the possibility of
being one of the nine winners”,
“My first Formula One drive was an unforgettable experience.
I was blown away when I accelerated for the first time –
the speed felt unreal. It felt like playing a game, everything
happened so fast.” Now others can share the same unforgettable
experience. There are two ways to enter the competition at
the official Battery website at www.batterydrink.com. Entrants
can either complete the competition entry form or by play
the downloadable Battery Formula Racing game. The best 50
times from the Battery Formula Racing game, contested at the
advanced skill level, will be entered into a draw to win.
The international competition and campaign is the largest
yet by Battery, the popular energy drink brand, sold now in
35 countries.
“Many people dream to drive a real Formula One car.
I’m pleased that we are able to make this dream come
true. And it is not only the driving. By giving the winners
access to see AT&T Williams team in action in testing,
we offer a view behind the scenes and they can see and feel
all the hard work required in the sport. Formula One is not
only about glamour!” said Battery marketing manager
Jori Manninen.
He continued, “It is also a great opportunity to be
able to bring Formula One closer to the fans in some countries
where the sport has a developing popularity.”
