SWIMMERS NOMINATED FOR YOUTH OLYMPICS
An elite squad of 16 young swimmers has been nominated to
the British Olympic Association (BOA) to be considered for
selection to the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) team.
The 16 youngsters aged 13 to 16 achieved selection times
at the British Championships last month in Manchester, and
will be hoping to make the cut when the final team list is
announced in June.
The European Youth Olympic Festival takes place from 21-28
July in the Serbian capital of Belgrade. Swimming is one of
11 sports at the Festival, which also includes athletics,
cycling, gymnastics, judo, table tennis, basketball, water
polo, handball and volleyball.
Swimming takes place at the Tasmajdan Sports Centre on 23,
24, 26 and 27 July.
