TEN-STRONG SQUAD SELECTED FOR EUROPEAN JUNIOR EVENT
British Synchro have announced a 10-strong squad to compete
at the European Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships
in Spain.
The squad, which was selected at the British trials in May,
includes some experienced athletes in the likes of Elizabeth
Smith (17, City of Birmingham), and Natascha Lau (17, Rushmoor),
who were selected as part of the 2006 Junior World Championships
in China and the 2006 European Junior squad.
The team, under the direction of new Head Coach Loredana
Montico, will be looking to take the next step in their development
in the run up to London 2012.
The girls will be preparing for the event at a five-week
intensive training camp held at the Garrison pool in Aldershot
where they will be working alongside senior athletes Jenna
Randall, Olivia Allison and Lauren Smith.
