ASA SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR NATIONAL EVENTS
The Amateur Swimming Association and British Swimming are
looking for volunteers to lead the sport through to London
2012. As the organisations focus on the biggest event to come
to England for the last 60 years, they are searching for a
band of volunteers to work at national events in preparation
for the Games in just six years time. Amongst the posts they
are looking to fill is Presentation Director for all major
swimming events. A strong organiser and leader, the Presentation
Director will have overall responsibility for the provision
of the event on the deck and be a key member of the Event
Management Team. The role also involved managing the Presentation
Team and liasing with the BBC for televised events.
The organisations are also looking for key personnel to volunteer
as Meet Directors, Technical Directors, Business Directors,
Announcers, Commentators, Chief Recorder and IT Support across
its disciplines of swimming, diving, water polo, synchronised
swimming and open water swimming. The ASA values its volunteers
and as well as providing on-the-job training it will support
the personal development of those involved. If you think you
