ENGLAND WOMEN IN WITH PODIUM SHOT
England women are through to the semi-finals of the Commonwealth
Water Polo Championships after trouncing Scotland 32-3 in
their final round match in Melbourne.
England, who have won three of their six games so far, will
face home nation favourites Australia for a second time this
tournament in tomorrow's semi-final. In the other semi, Canada
face New Zealand, to determine who will make the Championship
play-off and who will be fighting it out for bronze.
In the men's competition, England beat home nations rivals
Wales to win their final round game 14-3. The result was not
enough to push England up the rankings and they play again
in the morning for fifth place in the tournament.
Scotland women will also play for fifth position when they
face South Africa in their final match tomorrow.
