The Amateur Swimming Association has agreed a new three-year
sponsorship deal
The Amateur Swimming Association has agreed a new
three-year sponsorship deal with Topline (Water Treatment
Systems) and Wm Taylor Pools to become joint title sponsors
of the annual National County Team Championships.
The 2005 Championships, which will be held on Sunday 16 October
at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, will see 38 teams of the best swimmers
from each County compete to see if they can knock current
holders Lancashire from the top spot.
Topline Chief Executive Andrew Hunt commented: "Topline
are delighted to become an official sponsor of the ASA. We
wanted to play a role in supporting our future medallists
on their way to international success and involvement in swimming
is an obvious choice for us as we lead the field in water
treatment equipment for the health and leisure club market.
"We've made an initial three-year commitment to the
National County Team Championships as we see this as a longer
term initiative leading up to London 2012."
Along with fellow sponsors from William Taylor Pools, Topline
will be presenting the winning County will a cheque for £2,000
to help fund further training and development opportunities
for their future medal winners.
Wm Taylor Swimming Pools Managing Director, Nick Oettinger
added: "This is great opportunity for us to get more
involved in a sport we've been building facilities for, for
over 35 years. We are honoured to become involved with the
ASA at the grass roots level of the sport and be able to watch
our young stars make their way to the medal podium."
Katie Brazier, ASA Commercial Director, said "I'm really
pleased to welcome Topline and William Taylor Pools to our
sponsorship family. Their support will make a valuable contribution
to our sport.
"The National County Championships bring together swimmers
competing for their County for the first time with those that
have already achieved international honours at events such
as the European Youth Olympics. With over 1,100 swimmers and
a capacity crowd at Sheffield it promises to be a great event."
