3rd August -COMMONWEALTH CHAMPION WHITEHEAD WITHDRAWS FROM
TRIALS
Commonwealth Champion Adam Whitehead has withdrawn from the
Swimfit.com Commonwealth Games Trials following an operation
on his sinuses.
The 25-year-old City of Coventry swimmer, who was hoping to
make the English team at this week's trials, will have to
wait until December for his second and final chance to make
the squad and defend his 100m Breaststroke title.
2nd August - SWIMMERS TARGET COMMONWEALTH QUALIFICATION
Britain's World Championship squad are straight back into
the pool this week and have their sights firmly set on the
next major international championships as they compete at
the ASA Commonwealth Games Trials in Sheffield.
