knowledge and showed the youngsters the way round Monza today,
taking pole position by almost a second for round two of the
Suzuki GSX-R Cup tomorrow.
The former World Superbike and Supersport star blitzed his
Suzuki GSX-R750 round the 5.793 kilometre track in 1:54.743.

and Frenchman Antony Delhalle.
Fabrizio Pirovano - 1st, 1:54.743:
"I really enjoyed myself today and it’s so much
fun racing again - especially at Monza. It’s a very
special place and I really want to win the race tomorrow.
It’s so important for me here. The bike was perfect
today and everything went ok, though there was a very small
problem with my rear shock when I accelerated out of the turns.
But it wasn’t bad enough to slow me too much and now
I’m looking forward to the race tomorrow and having
more fun."
