GP OF SAN MARINO - RACE
VALSIR
SEEDORF DERBI
RIDER 52: LUKAS PESEK (CZE)
RIDER 18: NICOLAS TEROL (SPA)
This race could have finished in another way, it was a wonderful
till the 20th lap.
The front group fought for all the race, only Simone Corsi,
too slow to contain the others, was often forced to ride in
an unconventional way. There were many contacts between him
and Lukas Pesek in the fight for a better place.
The Czech rider crashed out trying to conquer the second position
and lost all chance to finish on the podium.
Lukas Pesek: (20th)
"I was very fast and the bike was perfect but Corsi
was too slow, aggressive and lacking in fair play. He hampered
me, Faubel and Talmacsi. I tried to overtake him but another
contact placed me fifth of the front group.
The crash was my mistake trying to recover positions".
Nicolas Terol: (18th)
"Finally I had the right feeling with the bike.
Unfortunately I started from the fifth row and I made many
mistakes during the race but the bike was ok and it is important
for the next races".
