 After
the great qualifying sessions Lukas Pesek finished the race
in 13th position and Nico Terol had to retire due to an engine
problem.
Lukas Pesek: (13th)
"In the morning warm-up we had found a good set up.
During the race I had a good rhythm only when I lap alone
but in the group, due to strange lines, my bike slid around
and I hadn’t the right feeling with it. With few laps
to go I tried to recover some positions but it wasn’t
easy for me to overtake in the straights. During the last
lap I was the first of my group but then the others pass me
easily taken advantage of my slipstream".
Nicolas Terol: (N.C.)
"I started well but at the first chicane three riders
closed and passed me. Immediately after that I found a good
rhythm but the bike lost power and in few laps I had to retire".
Stefano Riminucci (Technical Chief):
"It wasn’t a good day for us. Lukas had a good
pace only when he lapped alone but in group he lost adherence.
Now we have to check what has happened to Nico’s Derbi".
