GP OF MALAYSIA - RACE
VALSIR SEEDORF DERBI
RIDER 52: LUKAS PESEK (CZE)
RIDER 18: NICOLAS TEROL (SPA)
A technical problem at the start relegated Lukas Pesek in
17th. But after five laps he began to recover positions together
with the young Paul Espargaro. With three laps to go the Czech
reached the front group but his tyre went off and the podium
was inaccessible for him.
The Valsir Seedorf Derbi rider didn’t give up and overtook
Corsi and Pasini, whilst Espargaro and Cortese crashed out.
At the end Lukas got the sixth but his pace was really good.
Nico Terol, eleventh, did a good and hard fought race with
De Rosa, Smith, Masbou and Pablo Nieto.
Lukas Pesek: (6th)
"Sixth is good because the gear problems at the start
could exile me in very bad positions.
But I’m not satisfied because I was faster than the
riders in front of me. With three laps to go I reached the
group and fortunately I was able to overtake some rivals for
the standings, but my tyres were finished and the podium too
far".
Nicolas Terol: (11th)
"In my group all had the same pace and it was difficult
to pull ahead of the other riders. I fought with De Rosa,
Smith, Masbou and Nieto, and it was really funny.
I’m 11th and I got some points. Now I think to my home
race, Valencia: I hope to finish the race in the first 10
positions".
