GP OF AUSTRALIA - RACE
VALSIR SEEDORF DERBI
RIDER 52: LUKAS PESEK (CZE)
RIDER 18: NICOLAS TEROL (SPA)
His
luggage wasn’t delivered to Melbourne but Lukas Pesek
reached his destination: the victory.
The Czech rider (leading 10 laps out of 23) made a masterly
race: since the beginning of the race it was obvious that,
in Australia, the man to beat was him but nobody managed it.
His Derbi was very competitive and gave him the opportunity
to be very fast in the corners and to overtake easily.
Despite the six podiums, with 2 victories, he cannot aim
at the Title but there are only 5 points to the third place.
Lukas will find his luggage in Sepang where all the team expect
another wonderful race.
Lukas Pesek: (1°)
"I took some risks overtaking in the curves but I was
really confident. The bike was perfect in straights too: only
with my slipstream someone managed to overtake me. With two
laps to go I knew exactly the places where I had the possibility
to overtake Faubel and Olive.
I’m very satisfied for this second victory in the Championship
".
Nicolas Terol: (13°)
"I gave my best and I had a good feeling with my Derbi.
My lap time was the same as the front group but Di Meglio
slowed me down: I had some problem to overtake him. Krummenacher
was really fast and I couldn’t manage to pass him.
I’m quite satisfied for the points I got but I have
to start from a better place on the grid".
