More than 25 speakers from over ten countries will take the
stage at the second biennial World Rowing Forum in Istanbul,
Turkey, under the theme of "Competing for the future
- Attracting new generations to rowing."

5th September - FISA Annual Ordinary Congress chooses Poznan
The 2009 FISA World Rowing Championships were allocated to
Poznan, Poland. The voting delegates chose to support the
FISA Council’s recommendation to select the Malta Regatta
course in Poznan over Amsterdam

4th September - Last Day of World Rowing Championships
– Australia leads the medal table and Italy takes the
Team Trophy
The 2005 World Rowing Championships Team Trophy was today
awarded to Italy, who, with a total of ten medals, including
two in adaptive events topped the Team Trophy ranking system.

3rd September - World Champions Crowned - Day one
of finals
New Zealand looked unstoppable on the first day of finals
at the 2005 World Rowing Championships in Gifu, Japan. In
four of the seven Olympic class events New Zealand crews won
gold.

3rd September - Racing Schedule Update Sunday 4 September
In anticipation for potential adverse weather conditions
tomorrow, races on Sunday 4 september 2005 at the World Rowing
Championships will begin at 8:45 am instead of 9:30 am.
B Finals will begin at 8:45 and be raced at 5 minute intervals.
A Finals will begin at 9:30 and be raced at 15 minute intervals.
3rd September - FISA Council Decision on World Best Times
Based on the recommendation of the FISA Athletes Commission,
the FISA Council determined that race times recorded on regatta
courses with a significant water mass flow will not be considered
as World Best Times.
2nd September - Semi-Finals Completed at the 2005 World
Rowing Championships
Racing in the semi-finals, crews competed for their last
chance to make the finals at the 2005 World Rowing Championships
in Gifu, Japan
