World Rowing Championship Bids
The 2009 FISA World Rowing Championships were allocated to
Poznan, Poland. The voting delegates chose to support the
FISA Council’s recommendation to select the Malta Regatta
course in Poznan over Amsterdam, the Netherlands by 104 votes
to 37. Poznan successfully hosted the 2004 World Rowing Under
23 Championships and also one stage of the 2004 BearingPoint

The 2008 Under 23 World Rowing Championships go to Brandenburg,
