ESTEVE RABAT ADMITTED INTO THE CATALUNYA GENERAL HOSPITAL
The young rider is currently under sedation. At 11:00 pm
a new CAT will be carried out. All tests until now have given
normal results
Repsol 125cc KTM Team rider Esteve Rabat was admitted this
afternoon into the Intensive Care unit of the CAPIO Catalunya
General Hospital, after a fall suffered today Friday at 13:40
hours, on the left-hand bend leading to the stadium area -post
number 20-. Conscious and with a headache, Rabat was taken
in an ambulance from the medical installations at the circuit
to the Catalunya General Hospital, where he was attended on
arrival by the centre's medical services.
Doctor Cristina Fortiá, Intensitive Doctor on call
at the Intensive Care Unit of the Catalunya General Hospital,
stated that “the patient Esteve Rabat was admitted to
the emergency hall of the Catalunya General Hospital, today
Friday, at 15:15 hours, diagnosed with craniocerebral traumatism.
The patient reached here conscious and later lost consciousness;
a number of tests have been carried out -CAT, Magnetic Resonance
and various X-rays- and he was taken to the Intensive Care
Unit. Esteve Rabat is currently under sedation and is awaiting
new complementary tests and a new evaluation over the next
few hours.”
At 23:00 hours Esteve Rabat will undergo another CAT in order
to evaluate his development and assess his situation. The
current prognosis is guarded.
