The young rider is currently under sedation. At 11:00 pm a new CAT will be carried out. All tests until now have given normal results

Repsol 125cc KTM Team rider Esteve Rabat was admitted this afternoon into the Intensive Care unit of the CAPIO Catalunya General Hospital, after a fall suffered today Friday at 13:40 hours, on the left-hand bend leading to the stadium area -post number 20-. Conscious and with a headache, Rabat was taken in an ambulance from the medical installations at the circuit to the Catalunya General Hospital, where he was attended on arrival by the centre's medical services.

Doctor Cristina Fortiá, Intensitive Doctor on call at the Intensive Care Unit of the Catalunya General Hospital, stated that “the patient Esteve Rabat was admitted to the emergency hall of the Catalunya General Hospital, today Friday, at 15:15 hours, diagnosed with craniocerebral traumatism. The patient reached here conscious and later lost consciousness; a number of tests have been carried out -CAT, Magnetic Resonance and various X-rays- and he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit. Esteve Rabat is currently under sedation and is awaiting new complementary tests and a new evaluation over the next few hours.”

At 23:00 hours Esteve Rabat will undergo another CAT in order to evaluate his development and assess his situation. The current prognosis is guarded.
