Renault Sport Enthusiast Days 2008
2007 confirmed an interest in events for enthusiasts so in
2008, Renault Sport Technologies is once again organizing
Renault Sport Enthusiast Days for owners of sports vehicles
from the Renault Sport range.
Launched in 2005, Renault Sport Enthusiast Days have already
welcomed over 2,500 enthusiasts (500 in 2005, 800 in 2006
and 1,200 in 2007). The programme this season includes days
of circuit driving, opportunities to discover new Renault
Sport products, vehicle test drives, driver tuition and tours
of the Alpine Renault plant. In addition to the Renault Sport
Enthusiast Days, a VIP welcome will again this year be reserved
for those who bring along their Renault Sport Vehicle, or
indeed any vehicle from the Renault collection, to World Series
by Renault meetings.
29 Renault Sport Enthusiast Days will be organized in 2008,
with capacity increased by 50% (2100 participants) in response
to customer demand. The programme features all the elements
that have made the Renault Sport Enthusiast Days so successful
in the past:
- 14 Track days which are friendly and educational, during
which participants make the very most of the dynamic qualities
of their vehicle and can test drive Renault Sport vehicles
with a support team on hand to give advice and ensure that
safe driving rules are respected.
- 5 driving tuition sessions, which give participants the
opportunity to discover the sensations associated with driving
a single-seater or to learn how to master driving cars from
the Renault Sport range.
- 6 tours of the Alpine Renault site at Dieppe offering the
possibility to discover or rediscover the legendary plant
where Renault Sport vehicles are assembled.
- 2 Discovery Days for the new Renault Sport 2008 range during
which participants will be able to retrace the history of
Renault’s small sports cars by visiting the Renault
collection at the Flins plant, before discovering what’s
new for Renault Sport in 2008 at the Ouest-Parisien circuit
(Dreux Bois-Guyon)
- 2 special days at the Paul Ricard HTTT, including track
sessions, and opportunities to meet with the teams taking
part in the Mégane Trophy (who will be at the circuit
for collective testing), test drive cars from the Renault
Sport range and drive on the lowgrip track.
- A Renault Sport Enthusiast Days Challenge which will reward
the most regular participants with the following prizes:
- First prize: Free registration for one car and two people
at a Track day at the 2009 Renault Sport Enthusiast Days held
in France.
- 2nd prize: Free registration for one car and two people
at a Track day at the 2009 Renault Sport Enthusiast Days held
in France.
- 3rd prize: Free registration for one car and one person
at a 2009 Renault Sport Discovery day.
New features for 2008 include:
- Making Renault Sports vehicles available to people who
do not own one to allow them to participate in Track days.
- A special rate for Renault Sport test drive/track experience
sessions, enabling as many people as possible to enjoy an
initiation to the circuit and to test drive various models
from the Renault Sport range at track days.
- Four circuits that haven't yet hosted Renault Sport Enthusiast
Days: l’Anneau du Rhin, Barcelona, Le Mans and the Paul
Ricard HTTT.
