The Week: 22/12/2006 - 22 DEC 2006

Now that testing is over for the season and that Christmas is almost here, the Renault F1 Team wishes you the best for 2007!

The Winter Break
Giancarlo Fisichella, Heikki Kovalainen and Nelson Piquet Jr covered 7 000 kilometres in the three test sessions that took place in December in Barcelona and Jerez, Spain. The objective of these sessions was twofold: discovering the Bridgestone envelops and validating the new gear box. After successful tests and some interesting recovery data, the test team now takes a well-deserved and short break before getting back to business at the beginning of January for the first run of the R27… Meanwhile, people in Enstone and Viry keep on working hard in order to get everything ready in time.

Works underway!
As per usual this is the time for New Year's resolutions. People at RenaultF1.com also have theirs: they are currently working on a new version of a website that will offer new functionalities in order to bring you even closer to the double World Champions. However, before you can discover this latest version, the website will be on hiatus from January 1st 2007… While most of you will take some time off for the holiday, the RenaultF1.com team will go full throttle in order to have the new website ready for January 24th, just in time for the presentation of the R27. So, you will have to be patient, but trust us: it will be worth the wait!

Merry Xmas!
Yule log or Christmas pudding? It doesn't matter! The Renault F1 Team wishes you a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2007! May this New Year be a good one…
