Dunlop/Gambia MSA British Historic Rally Championship
Round 1 - Robin Hood Historic Stages, 8/9 March
It took a tie-break to decide the top category 3 crew in
the opening round of the Dunlop/Gambia MSA British Historic

Richard Hill/Patrick Cooper and Martin McCormack/Liam Moynihan
were level on time and only a better first stage time secured
victory for Hill/Cooper. From a superb 90-car entry, other
category wins went to Patrick Watts/Elgan Davies and Steven
Smith/John Nichols.

Midland Automobile Club, 10th March 2008 - Shelsley Walsh
Shelsley Walsh, the oldest motor sport venue in the world,
held its first ever Sporting Trial this weekend, Duncan Stephens
taking the honours at this historic event. Stephens (Crosslé)
and Ian Wright (Sherpa) led at lunch but a great afternoon
won the trial for Stephens from Roland Uglow (Crosslé)
and Thomas Bricknell (Crosslé), who was out for the
first time this year. Ian Wright slipped to fifth with some
big mistakes having broken the car in the morning. Jerome
Fack (SRB) won the intermediate class from Ian Rodman (Apex)
in an excellent eighth overall. Bill Sherras (Concord) took
revenge for last week winning the novice class from Mark Seward
with some great climbs.
