BRITISH SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP WRAPS UP AT THE AT THE O2
ARENA
On
Saturday, February 23rd at 7pm the O2 Arena, London will come
to life with the sound and sights of the high flying indoor
motorcycle racing spectacular known as Supercross. This event
will be the final round of the four round Future West ACU
British Supercross Championship series and the first ever
visit to the remarkable new O2 venue.
With the first round being at Sheffield Arena back in November
and the more recent two-night event at the brand new Liverpool
Echo Arena in January, the series has gained momentum. Support
from the public has led to strong ticket sales in anticipation
of the nail biting British Supercross Finale at the O2, in
what is promising to be a night to remember.
Some of the best riders from around the World will be descending
upon London on February 23rd, all set for battle in staking
claim for the coveted British Supercross Championship titles.
Top riders include former US Champion and current Pro Open
points leader Mike Brown, racing for CAS Honda.
Canada will once again be well represented with its very
best including six times Canadian Motocross Champion Jean
Sebastien Roy, who will be accompanied by team-mate and fellow
Canuck Colton Facciotti of Vancouver, Canada. Facciotti won
the British Supercross Championship at the unprecedented age
of 15 back in 2005. Other Canadian competitors include crowd
favourite 19-year-old Kyle Beaton, Beaton is no stranger to
British Supercross with his popular never say die style of
riding.
Also riding out of Canada will be 19 year old Kris Foster
who won a Pro Lights main event at Liverpool on his first
visit to the UK as well as Lee Coutts and Brock Hoyer. South
African's Neville Bradshaw and David Goosen will also add
to the international line up as will Norway's Per Kristian
Bakke.
British fans will have lots of riders to cheer on including
former British Supercross and Motocross champ Carl Nunn aboard
a Suso Motovision Suzuki. Another Brit and former British
Supercross Champ Lewis Gregory will be back on board his Relentless
Suzuki after missing Liverpool with injuries sustained whilst
training in Spain. Up-and-coming star and head-to-head standout
Ashley Greedy of Wales will be in London riding for PAR Homes
Honda along with Nigel Arnold KTM recent signing Luke Remmer.
