The track was initially damp from overnight rain, however as it dried out the team were able to complete the systems and set-up programme. The morning also saw the aerodynamic schedule concluded to positive effect, focusing on components around the front of the car. As predicted, there was rain at Spa for much of the afternoon. The cars were able to return to the track for the final 30 minutes and the team focused on damper work. With further rain forecast for tomorrow and no possibility of an extension of the test to Friday, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes will prioritise the work for tomorrow overnight to make best use of the available track time.
