TEST REPORT - MONZA - DAY THREE
Date: Thursday 30th August 2007
Driver: Fernando Alonso
Location: Autodromo Nationale Di Monza, Italy
Track Length: 5.793km
Weather: Wet during the morning, clearing after lunch: Track
temperature, 33.9°C / Ambient temperature, 25.1°C
Laps Run: 51
Kilometres Covered: 295km approximately
Best Lap Time: 1m23.490 at 16:59
Programme: With rain falling through the
morning at Monza, including some major storms, the track conditions
were treacherous resulting in the team staying in the garage
for the morning session. Fernando left the garage for the
first time shortly after 13:30, with the circuit still wet.
It was soon too dry for wet Bridgestone Potenza tyres in general,
but remained damp in places, such as through the Lesmos. As
a result running on dry tyres was compromised to an extent,
so work focused on long distance runs. Towards the end of
the day, although the track did not fully dry, Fernando spent
more time looking at set-up for Monza.
Driver for Day Four: Pedro de la Rosa
Duration of Test: Extended to four days due to wet track conditions
(Tuesday 28th - Friday 31st August)
