Testing continued today at the Paul Ricard High Tech Test
Track for Team McLaren Mercedes, with Kimi Raikkonen and Juan
Pablo Montoya completing the second day of the session at
the wheel of two MP4-21s.
Today's focus remained on preparatory work for Monaco, including
the Michelin selection programme and race specific modifications
to the cooling and bodywork, in addition to both drivers working
on the set-up for this race with their engineers.
Juan Pablo set the seventh fastest time of the day, a 1m06.008
as he covered 121 laps of the French track.
Kimi completed over 266km over 74 laps of the 3.593km track,
which remained in the 2D SC configuration. His quickest time
of the day, a 1m06.266 was ninth on the timesheets.
Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffett will take over from the
Team McLaren Mercedes race drivers at Paul Ricard for tomorrow
and Friday.
