Vincent BEAUMESNIL, New Tracks and Driving Schools Manager
of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest
At the end of August, Vincent BEAUMESNIL made an early return
to work after the summer break. He succeeded Hervé
Guyomard as the new Tracks Manager, including the Bugatti
Circuit and Maison Blanche, as well as the A.C.O. Driving
Schools which are incorporated into them.
35 years old, Vincent BEAUMESNIL is a « local »
through and through. A graduate of the IMPE – WELLER
Parisian School of Commerce, this native of Le Mans started
his career on home soil, first in the former BMS team of Michel
FERTE, before joining in July 1998 the renowned DAMS Team
of Jean-Paul DRIOT. In charge of Marketing, Communications
and Logistics, Vincent BEAUMESNIL efficiently held there a
key role in the different sports campaigns of the team, notably
run around the "24 Heures du Mans" and the FIA GT
Championship with Panoz cars, in Eurocup FR V6, in GP2 or
again in A1 GP.
He took an active part behind the scenes in the movie "Michel
Vaillant", shot in 2002, Vincent BEAUMESNIL admits to
being immersed in the motor sport world and the atmosphere
of the "24 Heures du Mans" from a very early age.
"My father Michel had been involved in the Inaltéra
project alongside Jean RONDEAU. At the famous pit boarding
wall of Mulsanne, with my mother, I signalled the Porsche
928 of Patrick GONIN in 1983 and the Porsche 956 entered in
1984 by Preston HENN, second of the race with Jean Rondeau
!"
For this racing car fanatic, succeeding Hervé GUYOMARD
is "a real honour. I am, of course, very proud to be
joining the Automobile Club de l'Ouest. When he heard of my
departure, Jean-Paul DRIOT, manager of the DAMS team, told
me: this post is made for you. I am also joining a team where
a fantastic work atmosphere prevails", Vincent BEAUMESNIL
adds. "Together, we will endeavour to maintain the level
of excellence of the circuits, and at the same time, will
continue to develop the quality and the variety of our services".
