NWLMRA June 2004 e-Newsletter
Welcome to June’s e-Newsletter. The racing season has
finally started after a 6 month winter lay-off. We have already
held two successful events, with many more to follow. We have
new mowers out on the racetrack, and there a couple more that
should be coming out during the early part of the season.
The race calendar is full for the 2004 season, but we are
already looking for events for the 2005 season
Race Report from Rounds 1 & 2 –
Ffrith, Flintshire – May 1st/2nd
The opening rounds of the 2004 NWLMRA Championship Series
took place under sunny skies over May Day Bank Holiday weekend.
#26 Robert Smith turned up with his new mower, formerly driven
by Stuart Polkinghorne to both NWLMRA Championships in 2003.
#96 & #69 Chris & Matt Randall brought out their highly
renovated machines both sporting new engines. #11 Sam Shaw
was entering her first full season of NWLMRA Championship
racing, alongside her father #12 Martin Shaw. As usual, both
mowers looked in tip-top condition

Race Report from the North-v-South Challenge
– Little Morton, Notts. – May 22nd/23rd
Brilliant weather blessed a fantastic weekend of racing at
the 2004 North-V-South. Overall honours went to the NWLMRA,
and the individual event was eventually won by The 69’ers
after an exciting finale to Sunday’s 2 hour Endurance
Race
