2004 CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
RACE 6 – GLOSSOP CARNIVAL, DERBYSHIRE JULY 3rd/4th
The North West Lawn Mower Racing Association (NWLMRA) are
pleased to announce that Race 6 of the 2004 Championship Series
will be held over the weekend of July 3rd/4th at Manor Park
in Glossop, Derbyshire
With the season rapidly approaching the half-way point, #31
Daz Whitehead is looking to defend his position as Championship
leader in the hotly contested Class 3 Tecumseh Points competition.
#96 Chris Randall is expected to be his main challenger for
race wins over the weekend
In Class 3 Briggs, #11 Sam Shaw holds a massive 70 point
advantage over #18 Sheldon Webster. Surely nothing can stop
her from taking the crown this year. #7 Andy Little has built
up a 7 point advantage in Class 2 Wheels over #24 Dave Smith.
#67 John Parden leads Class 2 Roller and in group 4 #66 Mark
Jaffe has been the only competitor and despite not finishing
a race he stills leads this class with a solitary point!
The Grand Prix Trophy is a series of 10 minute races, where
all drivers complete as many laps as possible within the allotted
time. Following problems for many of the leading drivers in
the opening Rounds of the season, #96 Chris Randall holds
a narrow one lap advantage from his younger brother #69 Matt
Randall
