North West Pop Lacrosse Championship Winners
BOWDON Church of England Primary School have won the North
West Pop Lacrosse Championships for the fourth time in seven
years.
The Cheshire club defeated Greenmount, from Bury, 6-5 in
this year's final at the George H Carnall Centre in Urmston,
Manchester.
Bowdon lost just one group match, 7-5 against Abbotsford,
but got revenge in the semi finals by beating their conquerors
8-4.
Bowdon and the other top three finishers at this year's tournament
- Greenmount, Abbotsford and Norbury Hall - have now progressed
to the National Pop Lacrosse finals, which will be played
in Urmston, at the same venue, on Sunday 13 June.
The four North West teams will be joined by teams from Wales
(2), Scotland (2), East (3), South (2), South West (2), South
Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands and
London.
