English Korfball Association National League Playoff Results
The playoffs have now taken place for entry to the English
Korfball Association National League First Division 2007/8.
West London Wildcats (from the London and District KA) and
Bearsted (from the Kent KA) have made it through the playoffs
to the First Division of the EKA National League.
West London Wildcats first took on Bearstead in April, at
Royal Russell School in Croydon, a match they won comfortably.
Bearsted then played Norwich City (who finished last in the
First Division this season) on May 19th. The match was extremely
close, with Bearsted scoring in the final seconds of normal
time to force golden goal extra time. Bearsted then went on
to again score in the last seconds of the golden goal extra
time to win 13-12 and secure their place.
Congratulations to both West London Wildcats and Bearsted.
Commiserations to Norwich City, who will return to their local
league for the forthcoming season.
The provisional fixtures for the new season will be announced
within the next month.
