National U16 championship results
Kingfisher and Bearsted (both from Kent) have moved through
to the finals of the National Championships for Under 16 teams,
to be played in April 2007.
Playing in morning and afternoon pools, Kingfisher overcame
strong resistance from Tornadoes (Kent) and Trojans (Croydon)
in their pool matches. Vikings (from Ely, Cambridgeshire)
having only been formed earlier this year and playing in their
first championships played extremely well, against very strong
oppostiion from Kingfisher, Trojans and Tornadoes.
In the afternoon pool, favourites West London Wildcats narrowly
lost to Bearsted in a very close match, with Bearsted winning
4-3. Kwiek (Kent) proved to be very difficult challenge, with
James Woolmer in top form.
A big thank you to all the people who helped a long day go
so smoothly, and to Barry Dibble, Philip Locke, Jon Gilbert
and Kevin Taylor who refereed throughout the day.
Sevenoaks School was an excellent venue and our thanks to
Tracy and her team for their help and assistance.
