Grand Prix Spain Jerez de la Frontera / motorcycle world
championship 250ccm
First top ten ranking for Kiefer BOS Sotin Racing
Dirk Heidolf reached his long expected top ten result at
todays GP of Spain at Jerez de la Frontera. He finished 10th
in a very spectacular race. His teammate, Alex Baldolini finished
also on a good 13th place. Kiefer BOS Sotin Racing is the
best private 250cc team in the world championship at the moment.
Alex Baldolini:
"I'm very happy about this result, but not very lucky
about the last lap... I passed Lai and was on 11th position,
as he brakes in one corner again very late. I tried to go
very early on the gas, but I had a highsider nearly, Lai and
also Willairot passed me in the last corner. I'm very angry
about that, because I know the result could be better. The
chassis worked perfect, but we need more horsepower for the
topspeed. Then, with a better start, I can go with the others."
Dirk Heidolf:
"FInally I managed to do a good start and stay on the
gas in the first corner. After I was three or four seconds
in front of the others, I did only the minimum to stay in
front of the riders in my back, not more. The bike was perfect
today, my crew did a fantastic job. That was the maximum to
reach today."
Stefan Kiefer:
"A very good team result, specially for Dirk, tenth position
is very well. I did'nt expect a result like that. He did a
super race, had a good start and it was possible for him to
go with the others in front of him. Alex did also a good race,
he was on eleventh but then he had a highsider and F.Lai and
also R.Willairot passed him in the last corner. We are all
happy, because we are the best private 250cc team in the world
championship in the moment."
