British Riding Clubs to hold extravaganza at Scotland's
National Equestrian Centre
A
British Riding Clubs two-day free event is to take place from
March 15 – 16 at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre.
British Riding Clubs in Scotland plan to give horse lovers
a weekend to remember. The two days will be packed with demonstrations,
displays, courses, talks and much more.
The event will be held at the Scottish National Equestrian
Centre - a new state of the art venue situated in rural West
Lothian.
Marjory Norrie, BRC Area Representative, said: "The centre’s
large arena will host numerous educational and entertaining
demonstrations and displays including vaulting, dressage to
music, BHS TREC, cross country jump judging and horseball.
"Visitors will be able to pick up top tips from the master
judges who will provide commentary during demonstrations,
offering valuable insights into what they look for in competitors.
The judges themselves will also be on site to answer questions,
with score sheets that you are able to take home."
The Equest Horse Welfare Conference, sponsored by Fort Dodge,
will take place on Saturday.
Experts will be discussing the latest research and information
on topical issues such as equine obesity and laminitis, and
answering any queries or concerns that you may have.
Child Protection courses and a two-day Equine First Aid course
will also run throughout the weekend.
While visitors take a break from the action, there will be
lots of trade stands in the smaller arena for them to peruse
at their own leisure.
The event is open to everyone. Pony Clubs and Riding School
proprietors and clients are encouraged to attend. The various
demonstrations provide vital opportunities for grassroot riders
to assess how their training is progressing, so make sure
you don’t miss out!
The SNEC is just 15 minutes from Edinburgh airport and has
excellent access to both the M8 and M9.
