BHS Scotland Diamond Jubilee Masterclass with Jessica Kürten
postponed
Top female show jumper Jessica Kürten has had to postpone
her forthcoming visit to Scotland, scheduled for November,
due to the late setting of a date for the Kuala Lumpur International
five star show jumping, at which she is contracted to ride.
She will now deliver the BHS Diamond Jubilee Masterclass entitled
'Enjoy Winning with Jessica Kürten', and two days of
lessons in January 2008.
The masterclass will take place on the evening of Thursday
10 January 2008 at Gleneagles, using all of Scotland's top
young show jumpers. The two days of coaching for show jumpers
will take place on 10 and 11 January.
BHS Scotland is intending to transfer the lessons already
booked to the new dates. They will also notify be those who
have purchased tickets and who have offered to act as demonstration
riders in the masterclass.
Organiser Helene Mauchlen said: "Jessica is extremely
apologetic for any inconvenience caused, her busy international
schedule is the reason why she is so hard to book. Changes
like this are unavoidable and part of her current status at
the top of the world-ranking list. We are grateful that she
has been able to find us alternative dates in January and
also to Gleneagles EC who have also been able to accommodate
this sudden change."
This 'not to be missed' opportunity to see Jessica in the
UK is being held to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of The British
Horse Society.
Jessica, who was the Chief Judge in the BBC series "Only
Fools on Horses" in 2006 is currently ranked in the top
5 in the FEI/Gandini Jumping Riders World Ranking List. Earlier
this year she won the prestigious British Open show jumping
Championships title at the NEC, Birmingham and the Grand Prix
in Monaco.
Mrs Loraine Young, BHS Scotland Chairman, said: "We are
delighted to welcome a trainer and rider of the calibre of
Jessica Kürten to Scotland in January. Even the arrangements
are being undertaken in an energy filled and snappy way that
reflects the dedication and efficiency that has taken Jessica
to the top of the world. This is going to be an inspirational
couple of days in every way."
