Lecturer Lee Hackett appointed as new Welfare Senior Executive
at The British Horse Society
Lecturer Lee Hackett has joined the BHS as Welfare Senior
Executive, from Warwickshire College where he was Programme
Manager for all BA (Hons) Equine courses and was Chair of
the Equine Subject Assessment Board.
Lee, who taught final year degree level students, has been
a keen rider and competitor since childhood and has an MSc
Equine Science degree.
He said: "I am very excited to be joining the BHS and
look forward to continuing the excellent work of the Welfare
Department."
Mark Weston, BHS Director of Access, Safety and Welfare, said:
"I am pleased to welcome Lee to the department. He joins
us at an important time with the recent implementation of
the Animal Welfare Act and I look forward to working with
him in taking forward the Society's equine welfare work."
