BHS Equitation Competition reaches its conclusion
The final of The British Horse Society's Equitation Competition,
sponsored by Puffa, will take place at Warwickshire College,
Moreton Morrell on 10 April 2007.
Around 40 youngsters in two age categories - 13 and under
and 17 and under - will compete for the title of Puffa and
The British Horse Society Equitation Competition Champion.
The competition, which encourages non-horse owners to ride
and compete, has taken place in a series of regional qualifiers
at BHS Approved Riding Centres across the UK.
As with the qualifiers there will be three sections to the
final - a dressage test, a show jumping course and a short
written paper.
Neil Farrar, Managing Director of Puffa, said: "Puffa
are delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile competition.
There are many talented young riders who don't have their
own horse and it is so important that they are given the opportunity
to compete. I can't wait to watch the final!"
Thanks to the generous sponsorship by Puffa, there are numerous
prizes available, including training vouchers, trophies and
rosettes. Puffa will also be supplying clothing for the winners,
instructors and competitors up to 10th place. In addition,
saddlery vouchers generously donated by the Worshipful Company
of Saddlers will be awarded to the establishments of the winning
competitors.
Each competitor who has qualified to attend the final will
receive a certificate and medal.
