Competition hots up for SEIB BHS cross country series
QUALIFIERS for the South Essex Insurance Brokers BHS Cross
Country Championships are currently taking place across the
UK at nearly 100 venues!
The Championships, sponsored by South Essex Insurance Brokers,
are designed to give horse riders a chance to qualify for
a prestigious national final, where British Horse Society
President Noel Edmonds will present the prizes.
The three levels of competition are Novice, Pairs (both over
a course of 2ft 9in maximum) and the Open (3ft 3in maximum),
and qualifiers are being held across the country, incorporated
into existing cross-country and hunter trial events.
The two highest-placed riders in each class, and the two
top-placed Pairs, who are BHS Gold members, will automatically
go forward to the Final, and have a the chance to become the
UK Champions.
The Final will take place on Sunday, 25 September at Eland
Lodge near Draycott-in-the-Clay, Staffordshire, with the course
running over rolling pastureland including natural woodland,
ditches and hedges, and an excellent water complex.
Senior Executive of BHS Competitions Department Rob Jones
said: “The 2005 season is already well underway, and
should prove to be bigger and better than ever before. With
so many qualifiers nationwide, there really is a great demand
for this competition. I wish competitors every success as
they battle it out to become UK champions.”
