Ride at Woburn
Abbey to raise money for two charities
A sponsored horse ride will take place at Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire,
on Sunday 8 May in order to raise money for The British Horse
Society and The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia.
The estate, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of its
opening to the public, will be open to horses by kind permission
of His Grace the Duke of Bedford, and there will be a four
mile (suitable for lead rein), six mile and 10-mile rides
on offer.
Prizes will be awarded to the junior and senior rider who
has raised the most sponsorship, and every rider completing
the course will receive a rosette, sponsored by Peter Chandler,
manager of Paris House Restaurant, Woburn Park.
The ride will cost £10 for BHS members and children
under the age of eight, plus a minimum sponsorship of £15,
and £15 for others, also as well as a minimum sponsorship
of £15.
