The British Horse Society Mongolian Camel Challenge 9-18
September 2005
The British Horse Society (BHS), one of the UK's largest
horse charities, is offering people the challenge of a lifetime...and
they don't even have to be a horse rider!
The five-day adventure will take place in Mongolia, and the
method of travel will be on board the 'ship of the desert',
the camel. Through desert steppes and sand dunes, challengers
will be able to experience real Mongolian nomadic life and
culture. Sleeping in tents under the stars, this is a unique
opportunity to escape into the Gobi Desert and explore the
'land of the dinosaurs'.
Money raised from this exciting trip will help fund the important
work of BHS Welfare; preventing neglect and cruelty to horses
through educating and advising people. The BHS Mongolian Camel
Challenge will take place in September 2005. A registration
fee of £300 is required, and challengers are encouraged
to raise a minimum of £2500, which will cover the cost
of the trip and a donation to British Horse Society Welfare.
