The British Horse Society (BHS) has included the following
riders on the shortlist for the World TREC Championships,
taking place in the German town of Zweibrucken between the
10th and 12th September.
Paul Turner (Powys), David Hay-Thorburn (Argyll), Hilary
Barnard (Bristol), Kathy Wilding (Shropshire), Jane Willett
(Wirral), Deborah Swan (Hampshire) Mike Myers (Cumbria), Jennie
Free (Hampshire), Anna Weston (Leicestershire), Maddy Jacob
(Herefordshire), Anthea Kendrick (Cumbria).
The following riders have been listed for the European Young
Riders Championships:
Alexandra Wells (Nottinghamshire), Danielle Samuel (Shropshire),
Kate Ellison (Ayrshire), Lianna Bourne (Ayrshire), which takes
place in Zweibrucken at the same time.
Senior Chef d’Equipe Bob Weatherley said, “We
are looking at an exciting mixture of experience with a former
World Champion, riders who have won team silver medals and
some very good newcomers to this level to choose from. With
fierce competition for places, the riders that make it to
Zweibrucken will be intent on going one better than last year
and toppling the French off the top spot.
With the defending Champion in Kate Ellison, and the core
of last year’s bronze medallist team, the Young Riders
will be no less ambitious”
