Cambrian Garages steps in to save the BHS Cymru Horse ambulance
Cambrian Garages, Aberystwyth, have secured the future of
The British Horse Society (BHS) Cymru horse ambulance, for
the rest of the season, by generously donating a brand new
Land Rover Defender with which to tow the ambulance.
The horse ambulance, which was bought out of funds raised
by the Principality and is serviced, supported and maintained
by volunteers, provides an invaluable service to the welfare
of horses at shows and events.
BHS Development Officer for Wales, Wendy Davies said, “We
are delighted to accept this incredibly generous contribution.
Our thanks go to Mr Dave Stewart of Cambrian Garages for providing
us with such a wonderful new vehicle”.
The new vehicle will visit the Centenary year of the Royal
Welsh Show next week, 19-22 July. Also at the event BHS Cymru
and Cambrian Garages will hold a free prize draw, with the
winner to be announced on Thursday 22 July by Owen Money,
star of TV and radio. The lucky winner will be invited to
visit the Land Rover factory with a guided tour, lunch and
the chance to experience ‘off-road’ driving.
