British Horse Society invites instructors to be inspired
The British Horse Society (BHS) in Suffolk is inviting all
Registered and Preliminary Instructors to join them for a
day’s ‘Inspirational Teaching for the Everyday
Rider’ with Islay Auty FBHS at Newton Hall Equestrian
Centre, Swilland near Ipswich on Monday 29 March.
Although the day counts as a Refresher for Registered Instructors
and ten hours towards the teaching practice required for Preliminary
Teachers, everyone involved with teaching riding, at whatever
level, is very welcome to attend.
Presenter Islay Auty is one of just fifty-five Fellows of
the BHS, the highest accolade of professional horsemanship,
and is well known for her authorised guides to assist BHS
examination candidates. Islay’s latest book, ‘Learn
to Ride with The British Horse Society’ has been well
received and the BHS Manual on training towards Stage 2 is
due to be published in May*.
Anyone wishing to attend should send a SAE to Mrs Anthea
Freemantle, Thornycroft, Hargrave, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
IP29 5HX enclosing a cheque made payable to BHS Eastern Region
Training Fund. Cost is £20.00 Registered Instructors,
£25.00 BHS members and £30.00 Others.
