Seven out of ten Finals for the British at the DTB Cup!
Marissa
King, Daniel Keatings and Kristian Thomas achieved commendable
results at the DTB World Cup in Stuttgart.
Less than two months after the World Championships in Stuttgart
(GER) and two weeks before the 2007 Glasgow Grand Prix and
World Cup event, the British gymnasts continue to improve
their standings at the international stage.
One female (Marisa King) and two male gymnasts (Daniel Keatings
and Kristian Thomas) reached seven out of the overall of ten
Finals at the renowned DTB International held over the weekend
26-28 October at the same “Porsche Arena” in Stuttgart
where the World Championships and Olympic Qualifications were
held at the beginning of September.
Marisa King from Huntingdon was a mere 0.025 from the Bronze
medal on Vault, finishing in fourth, and was 6th on Floor.
Daniel Keatings, also from Huntingdon was exactly in the
same position as Marissa on High bar (0.075 from the Bronze)-
4th place, adding to this the 6th places both on Pommels and
P.Bars.
Kristian Thomas from Earls Gymnastics, Wolverhampton also
excelled in his best events, Floor and Vault taking the 7th
place in both Finals.
All the three gymnasts will compete at the Kelvin Hall in
Glasgow on 9/10th November, challenging the medals of this
year’s Grand Prix & World Cup alongside their teammates
Beth Tweddle, Hannah Clowes and Kayleigh Cooke (Women) and
Adam Cox, Stephen Jehu, Louis Smith and Luke Folwell (Men).
A record 30 nations will be represented in the Qualifications
