British Trampoline Championships 2007.
National Trampoline Championships
Claire
Wright reached 7th heaven at the NIA wining her record breaking
7th British Senior Title in a row with James Higgins taking
the Men’s crown
OLGA’s Claire beat synchro partner Jaime Moore (NTGA)
to capture the title with Kat Driscoll of Apollo in third.
Her victory mimics that of Artistic gymnast Beth Tweddle who
also on number 7 the previous week, Claire joked:
“I knew Beth was probably sitting in the audience
watching me so I felt the extra pressure to win number 7!
It was sheer relief to win”..and as for her routine..”
erm I cant remember! I just felt as though it went well and
I'm obviously very pleased to have won. The rest of the year
is now set up with some more World Cup event starting in Poland
then hopefully Canada for a go at the Worlds”
Ladies
1st- Claire Wright (OLGA) – 37.90
2nd- Jaime Moore (NTGA) – 36.80

In the exciting Men’s draw, James Higgins (NTGA) took
the title from Gary Smith (Jumpers) by the narrowest of margins
being victorious on the count back rule, with Gary Short (Apollo)
coming third
The big crowd and watching BGTV audience will have been very
appreciative of the NIA arena, decked out similarly to the
2006 Trampoline and Tumbling World Cup Final, this venue creates
a very special atmosphere suited to a British Championships..
