7- UP FOR BETH
Beth Tweddle won her 7th British Title at the Guildford Spectrum
to leave her just one title short of joining Pat Hirst's as
the all-time leading title winner, with Becky Downie of Notts
winning her second Junior Crown. Not only was it a great day
for Beth but also a memorable day for her club as City of
Liverpool took the top four places in the Seniors!
Beth's winning score of 59.750 put her clear of team-mates
Hannah Clowes, Aisling Williams and Melanie Roberts.
City of Liverpool coach Amanda Kirby said of Liverpool amazing
results and Beth's form: " Its all about team-work and
determination throughout the club. This was the first floor
routine Beth's done in nine days as she's feeling slight problems
with her foot, other then that we're really happy with how
she's getting on since her operation and she's now back to
full fitness and is ready to put plenty of hard work in before
the Worlds in September."
Beth said: for her 7 th win: " It's a bit spooky to
win my 7 th title on the 7 th of the 7 th 2007! I was really
happy with how things went today, I made the decision to alter
my second floor tumble just to help my foot and make sure
I didn't't injure it before the Worlds, but everything else
was fine, winning this year has been made even more special
as Liverpool as a club did really well."

really pleased it felt good out there today, there was quite
