competition at the Men’s British Championships.
Competing in the ‘British Masters’ the quick-fire
apparatus finals different gymnasts took each of the 6 titles.
Technical Director of Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, Eddie
Van Hoof said:
“ This weekend we have seen a resurgence of interest
in Men’s gymnastics, the gymnasts have shown that the
level of talent is very high and this bodes well for the future.
“The new format of the British Masters allows up and
coming gymnasts to measure themselves against the established
seniors. Daniel Purvis (Under-16) has shown how well young
gymnasts can develop and hold there own against current senior
team members. With the current development of junior talent
we will have a very strong senior squad In the future.”
