in Tumbling in the Senior Finals of the European Championships
Metz, France, on Saturday 27 May, 2006.
The young British Champion delivered an exceptional routine
that mixed execution, speed and high difficulty.

Michael Barnes (Wakefield) won the Bronze medal in the Individual
Men’s Tumbling thus contributing to the very impressive
British medal collection of 6 medals (3 Gold and 3 Bronze)
which brought the GB into the second and final position in
the overall Medal table, after Russia (13 medals, 6 of which
Gold), and ahead of Portugal, France, Germany, Ukraine, Belarus,
Spain, Poland and Bulgaria.
