GBR - Double European Team Champions!
British Senior Tumbling Teams, Men’s and Women’s,
achieved the ultimate success at the European Championships
in Trampoline and Tumbling in Metz, France, by winning the
European titles on Friday evening, 26 May 2006.
Samantha Palmer, Danielle Bannan, Sarah Bellis and Laura
Houston won the Gold medals in the Women's event, followed
by Russia (Silver) and France (Bronze).
On the Men’s side, Damien Walters, Glenn Smith, Charlie
Burrows and Michael Barnes celebrate their victory, followed
by Poland and Belarus.
Two years ago, in Sofia (BUL) 2004 the GB Teams were Silver
medallists.
Sam Palmer and Laura Houston, who qualified for the Individual
Finals in 1st and 4th place respectively, will challenge the
medals in the Women’s Finals on Saturday, 27 May, as
will Charlie Burrows (4th) and Michael Barnes (5th) in the
Men’s Finals.
