CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS CRUCIAL AT CADWELL PARK
The Airwaves Ducati team will be looking to repeat lasts
years perfect result when they head to Cadwell Park for round
11 of the Bennetts British Superbike championship this weekend.
Since 2005, the team have achieved 3 one-two’s at the
Lincolnshire circuit and as the 2007 season draws to a close
Gregorio Lavilla and Leon Haslam are both aiming to secure
valuable championship points in the bank holiday Monday races.
Having won at the 2.18 mile Cadwell Park circuit in 2005
and 2006 Leon is positive about a good result this weekend.
“I really like Cadwell Park, it is a good circuit for
racing so I am really looking forward to this round. We have
been on pole and won there every year and it is one of my
favourite tracks so I am really confident. I need some wins
to get the championship back on track and I will certainly
be aiming for that this weekend.”
Greg is also confident that he can gain some championship
points at the technically challenging circuit, “I am
looking forward to Cadwell Park. I have heard that the mountain
section of the track has been resurfaced, so it will be interesting
to see what that is like. It’s a good track and I know
I am capable of a good performance, as I have not finished
lower than first or second in all our races there. It would
be good if I could get back on the podium and back fighting
for victories this weekend. After Cadwell Park there are only
two rounds left so good championship points are my main focus
for this weekend.”
Round 11 of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship takes
