TEAM SAN CARLO HONDA GRESINI OFFICIALLY UNVEILED 2008 LIVERY

Honda Gresini’s past is full of victories and battles,
and so is that of team owner Fausto Gresini, twice World Champion.
Today, his 2008 MotoGP challenge has officially begun….
This morning the Team San Carlo Honda Gresini’s presentation
took place at San Siro stadium, in Milan.
Fausto Gresini and San Carlo’s president, Mr. Alberto
Vitaloni unveiled the new 2008 Honda RC212V livery as well
as team’s new line-up for the coming season, consisting
veteran Shinya Nakano and rookie Alex De Angelis.
“We are ready for this new adventure – stated
Fausto – we are supported by this new, important sponsor
that for the first time becomes a main sponsor in the MotoGP
Championship. We believe
both our riders, De Angelis and Nakano, are the perfect couple:
Alex is young, but ready for the top class, while Shinya,
former 250cc vice Champion back in year 2000 with Yamaha,
rode also for Kawasaki and Honda and therefore has lots of
experience.
Moreover, we can say we are one the most “Japanese”
teams in the paddock, so I think Shinya will feel at home.
The winter tests, which took place in Malaysia and Australia
were positive and satisfying, they proved we are in a good
position. We are now waiting for the new Honda engine whose
evolutions will surely improve the RC212V’s performance
from last year. As usual, I will put all my heart to make
this season a winning one.”
Today’s presentation of the Team San Carlo Honda Gresini
saw Mr.Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna, among the many guests.
His presence was a proof of the enormous importance given
by Spanish Dorna to the Italian team.
